Coupon racks are the only direct evidence that an inhibitor program is protecting metal. We install, rotate, and report them on a semiannual cycle for every treated system.
Method
Pre-weighed mild steel and copper coupons are installed in a bypass rack at representative flow, exposed for the test interval, then cleaned and reweighed to calculate corrosion rate in mils per year.
Deliverables
A written report with mpy rates by metallurgy, pitting observations, photographs, and a comparison against industry target ranges for open recirculating and closed systems.
